White Labelled Banking App User Journey

Developing a standardized mobile banking app template to increasing efficiency of proposal submissions.

💡
TL;DR
The following project outlines an enhanced user experience that significantly reduced user errors and complexities of Ramani's report creation dashboard and boosted usage of the product by ~50%. The results were achieved through a careful audit of the old reporting dashboard, a usability test on primary users, and prototype testing of the proposed solution. The step-by-step process is broken down below.

Project overview
As a product designer at Cellulant, I identified an opportunity to streamline our request for proposal (RFP) process for mobile banking applications. This self-initiated project aimed to reduce inefficiencies in designing end-to-end mobile banking journeys, and was inspired because RFPs only had a 10% success rate, were very last minute, and yet required substantial time investment.
Problem
Our team spent a significant amount of time crafting detailed mobile banking user journey proposals from scratch for each client. With tight deadlines and a low success rate, it became clear we needed a standardized approach to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Objective
To create a reusable, scalable template that allowed us to produce high-quality, consistent proposals while reducing time and effort.
The Process
Research & Audit
I conducted an in-depth audit of past successful proposals to uncover themes, recurring components, and best practices.
Identifying Standardized Elements
Through analysis, I identified essential flows and key elements common to mobile banking user journeys, forming the foundation of a standardized approach.
Template Design
Using these insights, I created a flexible, blank template that covered all necessary components, adaptable to different proposal requirements.
Pilot Testing & Iteration
I applied the template to a pilot project, gathering feedback and refining it to ensure it was both efficient and effective.
The Outcome
Research & Audit
I conducted an in-depth audit of past successful proposals to uncover themes, recurring components, and best practices.
Reflection & Learnings
